Internships are arrangements in which college students lend their talents to companies in return for an opportunity to develop business skills and gain exposure to the work environment. Such positions are often quite beneficial to the students who participate, for they receive "real world" business experience and an early opportunity to impress potential employers. Internships are seen by college students as potentially valuable tools to explore general career avenues as well as specific companies. Such arrangements can provide them with valuable work experience (both practical and for résumé enhancement) and an opportunity to line up a job before graduation.

STUDENTS ARE encouraged to participate in local and national design competiotns in which they can apply their growing knowledge and skills to challenging contract and residential projects. These competition were judged by leaders in design industry. Awards are well publicized and winners often receive financial awards or grants.
VCD also presents exhibitions related to interior design , architecture and the decorative arts that are intended to expand the horizons of students and to be of intrest to general public. In addition student work- models, drawings and presentation boardsfrom contract and residential studious,and color classes is exhibited throught the acadamic year.
The career placments service facilitates finding work in the competitive and dynamic field of all the desg ining fields.A database and job board are maintained at all times. vcd also provides Students individual counseling on creating a resume and preparing a portfolio. Recent exhibtions have included: miniature expo in which all model making activity was done each student has partcipated in model making and they were judgel by all renowed architects. With a constant demand for designers to create interiors for corporate offices, resturants, stores,hotels,and homes, VCD receives new job listings virtually every day.
